Baillie is an expert on social impact, with over a decade of experience as a successful social entrepreneur and charity CEO. She has personally fundraised over £2 million through philanthropy, grants & foundations, and commissioning – and accomplished this as a newcomer to the UK without prior networks. She has been called ‘a breath of fresh air in the sector’, and is known for her bold and inclusive leadership, honest and compassionate delivery of hard truths, and innovative approach to solving entrenched, systemic challenges.
Baillie is the Founder & CEO of Spark Inside (UK), Founder of Venturing Out (USA), and sits on the Advisory Board of Code4000 and Expert Impact (UK). She was formerly the co-curator of the London Hub of the World Economic Forum community of Global Shapers, and was selected as one of 40 Global Shapers to attend the 2019 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting at Davos. She is a graduate of Harvard College (behavioural economics, magna cum laude), and the University of Cambridge (MPhil). She received her life coaching qualification in 2014 from the Coaches Training Institute.
Baillie is committed to sharing her experiences candidly with social entrepreneurs, charity leaders and funders. She is an experienced public speaker, having delivered 4 TEDx talks as well as keynotes and lectures at companies, schools and universities. She advised government as a UK Ministry of Justice Policy Fellow ‘at Large’.
Baillie has been recognised for her entrepreneurial leadership as the youngest inductee into the JA Boston Business Hall of Fame; winner of the Women Economic Forum Iconic Innovative Trailblazer of the Decade and Global Good Fund fellowship; and a Women of the Future and McKinsey Next Generation Women Leaders Award finalist.
